About FAOPMA

The Federation of Asian and Oceania Pest Managers Associations – is a non-profit organisation established in 1989 by members from Asian and Oceanic countries to promote and develop the professional pest management industry throughout the region.

The common goals and interest of FAOPMA are to advance the professional pest management industry through the mutual exchange of knowledge, information, experiences and to adopt or develop ‘best practice’ methodologies relevant to our region and specific regional needs.

Membership is now open to all professional pest management industry associations within the specific region, and globally as associate members. Manufacturers, suppliers, industry consultants, trainers and academic institutions or individuals that provide a direct product or service to the professional pest management industry are also encouraged to participate as associate members or sponsors and will enjoy the support and fellowship of the FAOPMA community.

FAOPMA was registered in Hong Kong and is currently supported by an administrative office and support team in Australia.

The appointed Administrator is fully responsible for all of the administration tasks, corporate compliance and reporting, along with guidance on constitutional protocols and coordination of meetings and Executive Committee projects or initiatives.

The term of office bearers is two years, and all positions within the Executive Committee are held on a voluntary basis and can only be held by a full member representing a qualifying member country, however, honorary special advisors are often invited to contribute and assist the Executive Committee in various decision making processes.

Alongside the continuous work undertaken by the administrative office and Executive Committee to promote FAOPMA and the professional pest management throughout the region, one of the highlights for FAOPMA is the annual convention hosted by a member country and incorporating both local and regional issues specific to the pest management industry. With many international speakers and presenters at these events, they have built a reputation as one of the industry’s global events.
